Sales and Marketing Manager Job at Orient Sacco Society Limited.

Orient Sacco Society Ltd is a membership Cooperative Society registered under the Cooperative Societies Act Cap 490 (Amended 2004) of the laws of Kenya and regulated by SASRA.

We offer savings and credit services and other unique final products for different sectors of the Kenyan economy and diaspora.  

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-driven individual to fill the position of Sales and Marketing Manager for members recruitment and mobilize deposits from current and new members and grow the  loan book.

Key responsibilities

a)   The incumbent is responsible for the marketing activities, increase market awareness and implement findings of customer research, market conditions information, and competitor data and implement the marketing plan with the overall aim of increasing profitability.

b)   Products research and development in line with market needs and feedback, campaigns to ensure product information is readily available to customers.  

c)   Marketing Campaigns: Implement all approved marketing campaigns and brand strategies to achieve agreed KPI’s, from developing the creative brief through to analysis and recommendations. Ensure marketing campaigns are delivered in line with overall marketing budget.

d)   Participate in Brand Management through development & execution of initiatives that will improve brand visibility for the SACCO.

e)   Implement Online Marketing and Social Media Management initiatives.

f)    Take lead in co-ordination of regular business improvement plans and projects for initiatives under department.

g)   Recruitment and management of Agents in compliance with the set Agent selection criteria and ensuring customer usage of ORIENT SACCO Agents outlets.

h)  Monitoring of alternate channels availability and performance to ensure high levels of customers’ satisfaction.

i)    Drive new innovations to support non-traditional services to support credit application and loan repayments.

j)    Champion customer service and implementation of quality service delivery standards.

k)   Offer guidance to business development officers in executing the SACCCO’s growth strategy

l)    Develop the capacity of the business development team.

m) Preparation of various Sales and marketing reports for use by management.

n)  Any other duty that may be assigned.

 

Minimum qualifications;

a)     Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field.

b)     A relevant professional qualification.

c)      CPA 1 Sec II or Credit management course is an added advantage.

d)     3 years of experience working for a financial institution in supervisory level and/or above.

e)     Driving license holder (BCE category).

 

Desired Qualities

a)     Highly motivated attitude to achieving sales targets with a proven track record.

b)     A clear and concise communicator in English, both verbally and written with proven ability to convince, persuade, negotiate and inspire confidence in customers

c)      Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality.

d)     Natural ability to engage easily and build rapport quickly in face-to-face interaction. 

e)     Ability to work under strict sales targets and deadlines.

f)       Must be self-motivated and a team player.
